This rescheduled concert sold out very quickly in the original location so they have moved to a bigger theatre so everyone can enjoy this milestone moment.  From the much-heralded artistry of the 12-voice ensemble that has earned standing ovations worldwide, they are bringing it home to Toronto where they started. With intricate harmonies, dramatic staging, and humour, the group has been recognized as one of the top a cappella groups in Canada.  Countermeasure's final recording, Guest Sessions Vol. II, is available on most streaming services.

Since forming in 2010, Countermeasure, has earned standing ovations and critical acclaim worldwide. Countermeasure features 12 of Canada’s top vocal talents, performing innovative arrangements of pop favourites, classic jazz standards, and original songs. Their diverse songbook has equipped the group to headline international choral concerts, play the main stage at jazz festivals, entice club-goers onto the dance floor. Incorporating innovative live looping, instrument imitation, and vocal percussion, they present dramatically choreographed shows with flawless harmonies.

Led by award-winning composer/producer Aaron Jensen, the group has recorded with GRAMMY and JUNO award-winning artists including Randy Brecker, Natalie MacMaster, Ron Sexsmith, Alan Doyle, Evelyn Glennie, and The Barenaked Ladies; and has performed alongside the likes of Corey Hart, Alan Frew, The Swingle Singers, and Naturally 7.

Countermeasure’s albums have been recognized with awards and nominations by the international CARA Awards (Best Album, Best Song), the John Lennon Songwriting Competition (Best Jazz Song), and the Independent Music Awards (Best A Cappella Song). Countermeasure’s original song “Takin’ it Home” was covered by the Jazzagals on CBC Television’s award-winning show Schitt’s Creek, where Aaron Jensen was the Musical Director.  Guest Sessions Vol. II is available now on streaming platforms.

When they’re not jumping onto countertops for flashmobs, or providing movie soundtracks, Countermeasure could be seen at high-profile jazz festivals, concert series, and galas, as well as on CBC Radio and TV, Global Television, CITY TV, and CP24. They are a founding artist of SING! The Toronto International Vocal Arts Festival, Canada’s premier a cappella festival.
