Beloved Toronto chamber music series closes landmark anniversary season with an all-Canadian lineup of celebrated artists and alumni

Off Centre Music Salon concludes its landmark 30th Anniversary Season, Dream The Impossible Dream, on June 7, 2026, with its celebratory fundraiser gala (Erik) Satie-Sfaction Guaranteed, an afternoon of musical brilliance, wit, storytelling, and joyful reunion featuring an extraordinary roster of acclaimed Canadian artists and longtime Off Centre collaborators. Please note the special concert start time of 2:30 PM.

Founded in 1995 by Ukrainian Canadian pianists Inna Perkis and Boris Zarankin, Off Centre Music Salon has spent three decades redefining the concert experience in Toronto through intimate performances that blend music, narrative, humour, and intellectual exchange.

This anniversary gala brings together an exceptional intergenerational cast of vocalists and instrumentalists in a spirited celebration of Off Centre’s enduring artistic community and legacy. Hosted by broadcaster and raconteur Tom Allen, the afternoon promises surprises, theatricality, and the uniquely imaginative salon atmosphere that has defined Off Centre for 30 years.

“The sheer number of exquisite performers involved in this delicious, delirious 30th Anniversary Fundraiser Gala will generate enough positive and uplifting energy to carry us all the way to our 31st Anniversary,” say founders Inna Perkis and Boris Zarankin. “That is all we can say… for now!”

You will hear some Off Centre favourites from over the years, such as Verdi's Rigoletto Quartet Bella figlia dell'amore, Puccini's Nessun Dorma, Donizetti's Una furtiva lagrima, and Strauss' Mein Herr Marquis. Plus a special Piano Four Hands Overture from Rossini's L'Italiana in Algeri.

Over the past three decades, Off Centre Music Salon has become one of Toronto’s most distinctive chamber music presenters, known for adventurous programming, mentorship of emerging artists, and concerts that create genuine emotional connection between performers and audiences. The organization’s 30th anniversary season has celebrated that legacy through programmes exploring melancholy, surrealism, rhythm, storytelling, immigrant identity, and artistic collaboration.

The June 7 gala reunites many artists who have shaped Off Centre’s artistic journey over the years, including some of Canada’s most celebrated vocalists and instrumentalists.

ABOUT OFF CENTRE MUSIC SALON

Founded in 1995 by Ukrainian-Canadian pianists Inna Perkis and Boris Zarankin, Off Centre Music Salon is a Toronto-based chamber music series known for its adventurous programming, intimate concert experiences, and dedication to Canadian talent. Inspired by the 17th-century Parisian salon tradition and enriched by their artistic experiences in Vienna, the founders envisioned a space where music, storytelling, and intellectual exchange could flourish. After arriving in Canada, they found an eager and supportive artistic community, and over the past 30 years, have built Off Centre into a beloved fixture in Toronto’s cultural life. Rooted in history but forward-looking in spirit, Off Centre has continually adapted—bringing together emerging and established musicians, and offering audiences a uniquely personal way to engage with music. The series remains a rare blend of warmth, depth, and artistry that reflects the founders’ vision: to create not just concerts, but conversations.
