On hand to receive the award for the boys was their longtime team member and media advocate Deborah Wood (Deborah Wood Publicity) who gave a very emotional acceptance speech. Deborah Wood is long time publicist of Canadian music legend, Michelle Wright and also manages up and coming singer/songwriter Tyler Whelan. When reached for comment, Wood said “ I had an acceptance speech rehearsed just in case, but it all went out that window once I got up there. It was very emotional and these guys deserve this award.”Deborah Wood is long time publicist of Canadian music legend, Michelle Wright and also manages up and coming singer/songwriter Tyler Whelan.
The Abrams Brothers are honoured by the award from the Canadian Country Music Industry, which comes on the heels of the current growing success and acceptance at country radio of their latest single “Northern Redemption” with radio mix Jason Barry. "To be positively received at the CCMAs for playing our own style of country music is a huge affirmation for us. It's a wonderful feeling to be a part of such a rich music community in Canada."
